What to expect
Every Sounds of Resonance session is a guided, supportive experience designed to help you feel safe, grounded, and regulated.
Whether you’re attending a 1:1 session, a group experience, or a workplace session, you’ll be gently guided through breath, sound, and somatic awareness at a pace that feels right for you.
Why breathwork matters
A science-backed approach to stress resilience and nervous system regulation
Breathwork is not a trend or a spiritual concept, it is a physiologically proven method for regulating the nervous system, reducing stress, and supporting emotional resilience.
When we experience stress, the body shifts into a fight-or-flight response, driven by the sympathetic nervous system. Conscious breathing techniques help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, often referred to as the body’s rest and recovery state. This shift supports calm, focus, emotional regulation, and physical recovery.
The NHS actively recommends breathing exercises as a practical, accessible tool to help manage stress, anxiety, and panic, noting that regular practice can help slow heart rate, ease tension, and restore balance during moments of overwhelm.
Breathwork supports:
- Regulation of stress responses in the body
- Improved emotional control and mental clarity
- Reduced physical symptoms of anxiety and tension
- Greater resilience during prolonged or repeated stress
Because breathing is always available, breathwork offers a low-barrier, evidence-informed practice that can be used anywhere, at work, at home, or during high-pressure situations, making it especially relevant for modern life and workplace wellbeing.
Before Your Session
Before your session, you’ll be invited to prepare your body and space so you can fully relax into the experience.
We recommend:
– Wearing comfortable clothing
– Avoiding heavy meals beforehand
– Having water nearby
– Arriving a few minutes early to settle
No prior experience is needed, simply come as you are.
During the session
You’ll be guided through a structured experience combining breath, sound, and somatic cues designed to support nervous system regulation and emotional release.
You remain fully in control throughout the session and are always encouraged to listen to your body.
Common experiences may include deep relaxation, emotional release, physical sensations, or a sense of clarity and calm.
Every experience is unique.
After the session
Following your session, it’s common to feel calmer, clearer, or more spacious.
Some people notice emotional insights, improved sleep, or a deeper sense of grounding over the next 24–48 hours.
We recommend:
– Drinking plenty of water
– Allowing time for rest or reflection
– Journaling any insights
– Gentle movement if needed
Integration continues beyond the session itself.

All sessions are trauma-aware, guided, and designed to prioritise safety and nervous system regulation.
You are always free to pause, rest, or modify your participation at any time.
